The New Honda Passport Is Still Selling Like Hotcakes
The new Honda Passport hit the market earlier this year and quickly became a hit with buyers. It's no wonder; the 2026 model has seen significant improvements (https://www.motor1.com/reviews/755191/2026-honda-passport-trailsport-first-drive-review/). From January to September, Honda sold 41,450 Passports, a 74.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The trend continued into November, with sales reaching 4,363 units, a 73.0% year-to-date increase. So far in 2025, Honda has sold a total of 50,530 Passports, a remarkable 73.2% surge from the previous year. In November 2024, Honda sold only 29,172 Passports, highlighting the impressive growth.
Despite these impressive numbers, the Passport's sales volume remains relatively small compared to Honda's other popular SUVs. The CR-V, HR-V, and Pilot have already surpassed the Passport's sales, with the CR-V leading the way at over 368,000 units sold this year. However, the Passport's 73.2% increase is the highest among all Honda models, outperforming even the Prologue's 52.2% increase.
The new Honda Prelude (https://www.motor1.com/honda/prelude/) is also making waves in the US, with the first few models hitting dealerships last month. Honda has sold 30 examples of the hybrid coupe so far, and it will be interesting to see how sales evolve over the coming months.
