Does anyone know where I can find fuse and relay diagrams? The links on previous threads don’t seem to work.
Gotta say, beyond frustrating that this information isn’t readily available.

$35 gets you 24H on erwin.vw.com which is the factory repair manual & includes all the WDs.
24H is plenty of time to download every manual for your car.
It's a smokin' deal; just remember that you have to use Acrobat to view the .pdfs

OK so downloaded everything wincluding wiring diagrams. So fuse locations can be determined by drilling into those, but I cannot seem to find a diagram of the fusebox. Is there not a document which shows the locations of the fuses and relays in thier respective box and describes thier function?
For example, A picture of the fuse-box with numbered locations, and a list of values and functions; Fuse #23 is for the entertainment system and is x-amps

I ran into this issue when trying to diagnose some issues on mine - it seems like there is no universal anything for VW; plenty of bespoke assemblies and arrangements. I was unable to locate a fusebox diagram other than the one on the car

I put this together: https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/gov-fuse-panel-reference-for-my2011.9501257/
Maybe I'll add a reference for relay positions in the 2nd post. --g

You can read / view the .pdfs with any app that can read/open .pdfs (the beauty of the .pdf ). I use Preview on Mac, Foxit Reader on Windows, PDFexpert on iPad, etc.

Manual....? (Note that this is for Mk7)
And somewhere in the Wiring section (on erwin), there was a document that had "Component Locations" (again - Mk7 here).
(No watermark on these pages, so I'm pretty sure they're openly available (?).)
Huh - and the search for that on my computer turned up this document that I have zero recollection of downloading, but did so for just such an occasion, I guess.

Generally true for .pdf but false for the downloads from ERWIN. There's a silly warning you have to click past each time you open them. While there may be other readers besides Acrobat that support that rich .pdf functionality, I am unaware of them. I post the warning because it was a frustrating few minutes the first time I downloaded at attempted to open one of those.

Maybe it's just on a Mac that pretty much any .pdf reader will open the Erwin .pdfs without issue (?).
Decided to look into this because....really?!
Anyway - Mac Preview.app (the default) - no issue.
Opening with Chrome or Firefox on my Mac, though - you get the pop-up warning that lands you at the CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS final page and doesn't let you scroll anywhere.
And I found the same thing on Windows (Win10) - any Chromium-based browser (Chrome (of course), but also Firefox, Edge (default), that tries to open those ERWIN .pdf files gets that warning. As did the Foxit app (which is from the Firefox people, so I'm guessing it uses the same Chromium rendering engine).
Wondershare PDF Reader on Windows worked just fine, though. No warning / popup and scroll wherever you like.
(Much smaller download / file size so it loads much more quickly and performs better, too - that's my reluctance to just go with Acrobat...it's a bloated pig of an app (over 1GB vs. ~100MB for Wondershare).

These "warnings" when opening erWin PDF service documents are from JavaScript code embedded in the PDF and interpreted by Adobe Acrobat and other tools that comply fully with Adobe PDF standards. At work, we only get full Adobe Acrobat (as part of the whole Adobe Creative Suite cloud B.S.). At home, none of the PDF readers on our Linux desktops interprets the JavaScript in these erWin PDFs. Maybe JavaScript can be disabled in Acrobat ?
Well, yes, we can disable JavaScript in Adobe Acrobat: Edit > Preferences > JavaScript: Unselect "Enable Acrobat JavaScript". Of course, opening an erWin PDF now shows a complaint that JavaScript isn't enabled:
