Any ideas? Apologies if this was already mentioned & one of the things you've already tried, but the RPCS3 wiki's page on NCAA 14 recommends switching the Shader Mode from the default Async (multi threaded) to Async with Shader Interpreter, which is apparently "needed in order to fix black field glitch during day games, which is present in various NCAA Football and Madden NFL games. After building up a shader cache using Async with Shader Interpreter mode, users can switch back to Async (multithreaded) for subsequent boots if required." If I were you I'd try that while also turning Resolution Scale back down to 100% and changing the Aniso Filtering back to the default Auto. Goes without saying that it's almost certainly not happening because of a simple filter, but I can see a quirk in the coding causing issues with the upscaler maybe? Have you tried all of those in one go (default Res. Scale, default Anisotropic Filter, Shader Mode: Async w/ Shader Interpreter)? I'm using a Ryzen CPU + GeForce GPU also, but in my case it's an R5 3600 and a GTX 1660S, and I haven't had any issues, so you should be able to run it perfectly. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the Shader Mode thing, or maybe some random setting in the nvidia control panel. Last edited by doncicfan77; 01-20-2021 at 11:01 PM. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

I have an i7-9750H, 32GB ram and a 1660Ti coming soon which I expect will work fine. ...just wondering if I really won't be able to play this on my desktop PC w/o upgrading the CPU (and the motherboard and RAM). |

It's an extraordinary game, I haven't had this much fun with a football game in ages. Everything is so well done (replays/stats/sounds/gameplay/recruiting) and it's just FUN. Yes, I'm sure there are plenty of warts that will show later but right now I'm having a great time playing it. |
